Job Title: CCUS Engineer

We are seeking an experienced engineer specializing in Carbon Capture Utilization & Sequestration (CCUS) to join the Downstream Process Engineering Division (DPED) under our Process and Control Systems Department (P&CSD).

Division Responsibilities

The Downstream Process Engineering Division provides technologies, process engineering expertise, support, and consultation in refining, flare, and relief systems.

Role and Responsibilities

As a CCUS Engineer, your primary role is to provide technical expertise, support, and consultation in refining and CCUS projects. You will coordinate and lead advanced techno-economic studies to plan, develop, and implement CCUS projects within Saudi Arabia. This role involves working with multidisciplinary teams and providing expert insights on CCUS-related matters.

Key Duties
  1. Collaborate with operations personnel to understand their needs and develop designs and services accordingly.
  2. Review existing systems to identify improvements, potential issues, and solutions, conducting continuous improvement studies.
  3. Lead initiatives to improve performance, optimize systems, and increase revenue, aiming for industry best practices.
  4. Develop standards and guidelines for CCS projects in Saudi Arabia.
  5. Create conceptual designs for new projects, review, and approve engineering calculations and design packages from contractors.
  6. Present technical information to international audiences and publish papers.
  7. Conduct simulation studies using Saudi Company licensed software like HYSYS, assessing model accuracy for new and existing facilities.
  8. Mentor junior engineers and deliver in-house training courses.
  9. Work independently to foster a positive work environment.
  10. Serve as a technical advisor, providing operational support to Saudi Company’s organizations.
