JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
OPERATION:
- Possesses good knowledge of menu and presentation standards.
- Assists guests with menu questions and selections.
- Anticipates guest needs and responds promptly and tactfully.
- Applies service techniques correctly, serving Food & Beverage items with enthusiasm.
- Records transactions/orders in POS systems at the time of order.
- Communicates with kitchen regarding menu questions, wait times, and product availability.
- Conveys additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.
- Checks with guests to ensure satisfaction with each course and beverage.
- Maintains cleanliness of work areas, china, glassware, etc., throughout the shift.
- Reviews order dockets to ensure accurate and timely preparation.
- Keeps the restaurant clean and organized at all times.
- Ensures brand standards and SOPs are consistently followed.
- Collaborates with staff and management to maximize restaurant potential.
- Completes daily responsibilities for each shift.
- Conducts monthly inventory checks on equipment and supplies.
- Coaches and develops junior staff.
- Performs opening and closing procedures.
- Adheres to company rules and procedures, fulfilling managerial requests.
- Follows health and safety procedures, reporting hazards or accidents.
- Participates in training and team meetings, contributing actively.
ADMINISTRATION:
- Follows SOPs, manuals, and recipes consistently.
- Ensures compliance with food handling and sanitation standards.
- Maintains proper food temperatures and handling procedures.
- Ensures all front and back of house equipment is maintained and operational.
- Maintains grooming and hygiene standards for all FOH staff.
- Ensures FOH staff hold valid food handling and sanitation certifications.
- Adheres to health and safety procedures, reporting hazards or accidents.
- Attends training sessions and team meetings, contributing to team development.
COMMUNICATION:
- Ensures effective communication within FOH/BOH teams.
- Attends daily team briefings.
- Communicates transparently and proactively using communication tools.
- Displays professional behavior to foster a positive work environment.
- Provides guidance, feedback, and coaching to team members to improve operations.
FINANCE:
- Follows operational standard recipe cards consistently.
GUEST RELATION:
- Maintains strong recognition for regular guests.
- Builds recognition and rapport with new guests.
HR & TRAINING:
- Trains auxiliary FOH staff for optimal performance.
- Manages and trains waitstaff effectively.
- Communicates sensitive issues appropriately.
- Acts as a mentor for new team members.
MARKETING & DEVELOPMENT:
- Understands the company's campaign strategies and offers.
