Job Description Summary
The Cancer Care Nurse 3 provides advanced-level nursing care in the assigned nursing unit and is responsible for supporting operational processes. This includes, but is not limited to, maintaining high standards of patient care, assisting in resolving complex clinical issues, mentoring intermediate-level nurses, and collaborating closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure efficient care delivery.

Operational Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care services focusing on complex cases
- Assist in managing workflow, ensuring proper resource utilization, and mentoring junior nurses
- Ensure adherence to clinical protocols and participate in the evaluation of patient outcomes
- Achieve and/or maintain the mandated set of activities for level 3, which is a minimum of 20 points in at least four categories within each 12-month cycle as outlined in the Clinical Advancement Program
- Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient care from admission through discharge, specific to the patient's age
- Provide nursing care and patient-family education consistent with the plan of care and patient needs, respecting privacy, dignity, personal preferences, and culture, demonstrating acceptance, caring, and empathy, utilizing appropriate resources when applicable
- Precept new hires and trainees during probation and training periods, and participate in making recommendations regarding progress and training needs
- Respond promptly and effectively to emergency and lifesaving situations using clinical skills, critical thinking, and evidence-based practices to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Perform a wide range of nursing procedures with attention to accuracy, patient safety, and comfort, maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment for patients, families, visitors, and staff
- Manage patients with invasive and non-invasive hemodynamic monitoring, including close monitoring, assessment, and care coordination
Minimum Education Required
3 years International Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Nursing
Professional Certifications Required
- Current licensure as a professional registered nurse
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy Certification (Mandatory for Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy Competency)
- ELNEC End-of-Life Care Training (to be completed within one year of hiring)
Years of Experience
Minimum 4 years of Nursing Experience, including 2 years in Cancer Care or related field.

English: Fully Proficient; Arabic: Preferred
