Job Duties

• Under general supervision, receives, tests, prepares and repairs downhole cable for submersible pumps and motor equipment for use in the field.
• Receives cable from field or manufacturer and carries out tests to ensure proper function in the field.
• Performs grounding tests, locates bad spots and makes repairs.
• Will splice additional cable if required on a motor lead and add to surface cable.
• Conducts weekly inventories on all cable in the yard and complete necessary paperwork.
• Trains and coaches new hires in basic principles.
• Promotes safety awareness and environmental consciousness, and complies with all applicable safety and environmental procedures and regulations.
• Promotes and takes an active part in quality improvement processes.
