Job Duties

1. Under general supervision, receives, tests, prepares, and repairs downhole cable for submersible pumps and motor equipment for use in the field.
2. Receives cable from the field or manufacturer and conducts tests to ensure proper functionality in the field.
3. Performs grounding tests, locates faults, and makes necessary repairs.
4. Splices additional cable if required on a motor lead and adds it to surface cable.
5. Conducts weekly inventories of all cable in the yard and completes the necessary paperwork.
6. Trains and coaches new hires in basic principles.
7. Promotes safety awareness and environmental consciousness, and complies with all safety and environmental procedures and regulations.
8. Participates actively in quality improvement processes.
