  • Enhance process consistency, clarity, effectiveness, and scalability to drive continuous improvement, streamline operations, and strengthen control in a digitisation and automation project for an energy sector client.
  • Establish business excellence principles, leveraging AI, data engineering, and process automation to maximize operational efficiency and minimize risks.
  • Foster data-driven decision-making to support scalable, high-quality service delivery in a digital transformation initiative.

Job Description & Responsibilities

  • Evaluate existing processes to enhance operational efficiency, agility, and scalability for digitisation, AI, and data engineering initiatives.
  • Lead process design, automation, and optimization, developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to support digital workflows.
  • Drive business process automation using AI and data engineering tools to eliminate manual inefficiencies and improve accuracy.
  • Conduct gap analyses and risk assessments, recommending solutions based on benchmarking and industry best practices.
  • Define and implement KPIs and measurement frameworks to monitor process efficiency, automation impact, and data quality.
  • Act as an expert in process modelling (BPMN, BPM methodologies), ensuring compliance with energy sector standards.
  • Facilitate workshops and stakeholder meetings to define and refine optimized processes for digitisation and AI integration.
  • Apply Business Process Reengineering (BPR) and Business Process Improvement (BPI) methodologies to restructure workflows.
  • Utilize modern process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) to enhance workflow efficiency and data-driven outcomes.
  • Train teams on process improvement techniques, automation tools, AI applications, and data engineering strategies.
  • Analyze and report performance trends (daily, weekly, monthly), highlighting drivers of efficiency and service quality.
  • Utilize Change Management principles to ensure smooth adoption of digital transformation initiatives.
  • Guide senior leadership on resource optimization and strategic process improvements for AI and data engineering projects.
  • Establish mechanisms to document and authorize operational changes, minimizing disruptions in digital workflows.
  • Operational Efficiency: Reduction in process bottlenecks, streamlined workflows, and optimized resource utilization.
  • Process Documentation & Standardization: Adoption of SOPs, automation frameworks, and governance for AI and data pipelines.
  • Service Quality & Digital Transformation: Improved service levels, faster response times, and enhanced data accuracy.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Business Process Management, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 10 15 years in Process Engineering, Business Excellence, or Operational Transformation, with experience in the energy sector.
  • Expertise in process-related standards (BPMN 2.0).
  • Proficiency in Business Process Modeling tools (BPMN/BPM) and Quality Management techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of AI, data engineering, and process automation tools (e.g., Python, SQL, Power BI).
  • Familiarity with digital transformation strategies, ETL processes, and data pipeline optimization.
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma and statistical tools for process improvement.
  • Clearly articulate process strategies, present insights, and document workflows.
  • Align with cross-functional teams (AI, Data, IT, and Operations) for seamless project execution.
  • Address inefficiencies, optimize workflows, and devise innovative solutions.
  • Thrive in dynamic environments with evolving tools, frameworks, and project requirements.
  • Engage stakeholders to ensure alignment and adoption of digital solutions.
  • English fluency (mandatory); Arabic (preferred).
