Overview
We are seeking a Business Director to join our Spark Foundry team in Riyadh. This role involves client delivery, implementation planning, and representing the agency’s values while inspiring the team.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute media plans across multiple clients and industries, aligning with client and agency KPIs.
- Identify new business opportunities and generate leads.
- Drive growth in assigned areas, leveraging cross-functional synergies to meet broader client goals.
- Identify organic growth, cross/up-selling opportunities to maximize agency growth.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement media strategies.
- Manage client relationships and communications, enhancing satisfaction and business growth.
- Contribute to the strategic direction of the media planning team.
- Mentor and guide team members.
- Represent the company in client and industry meetings.
- Oversee media strategy development and implementation.
- Manage resources effectively and promote team skill development through mentoring and training.
- Build strong client partnerships through effective communication and strategic advice.
- Create educational programs to expand clients' media strategy knowledge.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of communication strategies and advertising principles.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, or related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in media planning or related roles.
- Proven leadership in managing planning teams.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and pressure management skills.
- Experience in business development and industry representation.
- Digital certifications on major platforms (Meta, Google, Snap, Twitter, TikTok) and knowledge of emerging industry trends (commerce, Metaverse, NFTs).
- Deep understanding of the advertising/media industry and media planning's role.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders with strong project management skills.
- Knowledge of ROI measurement for media plans.
- Experience managing internal teams and external vendors.
- Strong budgeting, forecasting, and business strategy skills.
- Ability to develop channel-specific strategies and reports for both offline and online channels.
- Market, consumer, and media research knowledge.
- Excellent communication skills and client objective interpretation.
- Ability to train and develop analytical skills in staff.
