Business Development Sr. Account Manager

Description

  1. Achieve a volume of sales, maintaining the monthly, quarterly, and annual target of the department.
  2. Develop and implement business strategies to drive revenue growth in the event management industry.
  3. Achieve the pre-set ratios of visits/calls ratio - closed deals/calls ratio.
  4. Achieve the minimum average quality of sales monitoring.
  5. Achieve and maintain client satisfaction rate.
  6. Send all reports required on time.
  7. Update and record all required data on CRM that maintain the completion of data and its accuracy.
  8. Handle all leads received from the marketing department by calling the clients without delay.
  9. Gather market and client information.
  10. Identify prospective clients by using business directories, following leads from existing clients, and attending trade shows and conferences.
  11. Represent company products/services at trade exhibitions, events, and demonstrations.
  12. Answer all client inquiries with needed info about the company, products/services, and services.
  13. Listen to customer requirements and present appropriately to make a sale.
  14. Request a meeting with the client to discuss his inquiries and requests.
  15. Negotiate prices, delivery, and specifications with client terms of sales agreements.
  16. Make accurate, rapid price calculations and provide clients with quotations.
  17. Send all meeting feedback immediately.
  18. Request a visit to the client's location and give clear, accurate, and full information about the products/services provided by the company.
  19. Challenge any objections with a view to getting the clients to buy.
  20. Document all client contact activities into the CRM system and report to the direct manager on a weekly basis all activities and their outcomes.
  21. Record sales and order information and send copies to the Business support department or enter the figures into a computer system.
  22. Advise on forthcoming project developments.
  23. Feed future buying trends back to employers.
  24. Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products/services, new products/services, and delivery schedules.
  25. Keep tracking the sales process till the full contracting process is finalized.
  26. Attend team meetings and share best practices with colleagues.
  27. Maintain and develop relationships with existing clients in person and via telephone calls and emails.
  28. Ensure customer satisfaction by resolving existing and new clients inquiries regarding services and products/services with an excellent level of client service.

Industry Knowledge

  1. Deep understanding of the event management industry, including corporate events, trade shows, conferences, and luxury brand activations.
  2. Familiarity with venue selection, event production, sponsorship acquisition, and experiential marketing strategies.
  3. Awareness of market trends, client expectations, and the latest event technologies & innovations.
  4. Strong network in industries such as corporate, hospitality, fashion, and entertainment.

Desired Candidate Profile

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field from a reputable university.
  2. Minimum 8 - 10 years of relevant experience.
  3. Excellent technical skills such as task-oriented, following specifications, excellent Microsoft Office skills, sales techniques, time management skills, etc.
  4. Excellent soft skills such as negotiation and handling skills, detail-oriented, presentation skills, problem-solving skills, etc.
  5. Proven experience in business development, sales, or client relations within the event management industry.
  6. Strong network and ability to generate leads in the corporate and entertainment sectors.
  7. Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  8. Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet sales targets.
  9. Passion for creativity, innovation, and delivering unforgettable events.
  10. Excellent command of English.
