The Candidate & Work Profile

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to lead the Business Development Team. The role involves supporting strategic Business Development projects crucial for achieving business priorities, working closely with partners to grow their practices, and collaborating across practices and offices.

The candidate will advise partners on competitive tenders, client and market development, relationship management, planning, client and matter reviews, and developing thought leadership and marketing channels.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Deepening Strategic Client Relationships: Support client relationship partners in developing and implementing strategic plans, reviewing fee arrangements, conducting reviews, and generating ideas for value-added services such as seminars and briefings.
  2. Supporting the Client Programme: Participate actively in the Client Programme by working with the relationship partner, organizing meetings, conducting market research, updating client plans, and implementing CRM strategies.
  3. Competitive Tenders: Collaborate with partners, lawyers, pricing, and delivery specialists to develop pitches, capability statements, and respond to RFPs. Review and improve pitch processes for efficiency, utilizing the GSSC Team in Delhi.
  4. Developing Business/Marketing Plans: Assist partners in creating annual business plans and marketing strategies based on analyses.
  5. Market Profile & Communications: Design campaigns to enhance the Saudi office's market profile and reputation, executing communication strategies effectively.
  6. Directory Submissions: Use deal flow data to support submissions for directories like Chambers, Legal 500, and IFLR, including arranging partner interviews.
  7. Matter Capture: Record and report transactions to feed league tables.
  8. Other: Support cross-practice initiatives, client events, and activities aligned with office priorities.

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Fluent in Arabic & English.
  • Minimum 5 years of business development/marketing experience in a law or professional services firm.
