Job description

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

This is a unique opportunity to join a team supporting the Senior Regional BD Manager across Middle East offices, including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Riyadh, focusing on practice areas such as Corporate, TMT, Energy and Infrastructure, Litigation and Arbitration, and Infrastructure and Construction Disputes. These market-leading groups work on high-profile, first-of-a-kind projects, transactions, and disputes.

Role based in Riyadh, KSA.

About The Role

The Business Development Manager will support the BD and Marketing functions across CMS Middle East, primarily focusing on Riyadh. Responsibilities include executing strategies to enhance client engagement, brand positioning, and revenue growth. The role involves operational and strategic BD activities, working closely with Partners, Fee Earners, and the Senior BD Manager on business planning, client targeting, marketing campaigns, events, tenders, and pitch development.

Key responsibilities:
  1. BD infrastructure: Develop and maintain credentials, pitch content, mailing lists, marketing materials, events, and target client lists.
  2. Pitching: Support and monitor pitches and capability statements, collaborate with practice groups, and record outcomes in the pitch database.
  3. Reporting: Create weekly progress reports on BD activities, pitches, and tenders.
  4. Campaigns: Contribute to marketing and thought leadership campaigns aligned with regional and firm-wide plans.
  5. Events: Manage planning, organization, and execution of events in Riyadh.
  6. Clients: Support client targeting and development activities, working with sector marketing teams.
  7. Communications/PR: Collaborate with Communications teams to develop and promote the firm's market proposition.
  8. Directory and awards: Ensure timely and accurate submissions reflecting CMS messaging.
  9. Relations: Develop effective relationships within the firm.
  10. Additional activities: Support other initiatives as directed by the Senior BD Manager.
About You

  • Proven experience in BD or marketing within a professional services or legal environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic, with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to build relationships and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Experience with CRM systems, KSA bid portals, and digital marketing platforms.
  • Arabic language proficiency is essential.
