The Opportunity
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a leading international law firm in its Riyadh office. This role is central to supporting the firm’s expansion strategy in Saudi Arabia, with a focus on business planning, client development, marketing initiatives, and profile-raising across the Kingdom and the wider Middle East.

The Role
As Business Development Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

Business Planning & Strategy
  • Collaborate with Riyadh and regional leadership on developing and implementing business strategies and budgets.
  • Lead firm-wide BD initiatives tailored to the Saudi Arabian market across multiple practice areas.
  • Drive cross-office collaboration to ensure consistency and share best practices.
  • Support BD-focused travel, meetings, and external engagement for Riyadh-based partners and stakeholders.
  • Manage local BD budgets, ensuring strategic and effective resource allocation.
Winning Work & Pitch Management
  • Lead the bid and proposal process for major opportunities in Saudi Arabia.
  • Manage panel appointments, track business development pipelines, and oversee client pitch follow-ups.
  • Develop BD and marketing materials aligned with the firm’s branding and market position.
  • Analyze pitch outcomes and identify strategies to improve win rates and client targeting.
Marketing & Profile-Raising
  • Work closely with PR and communications teams to elevate the firm’s profile in the KSA legal market.
  • Manage directory and league table submissions to secure rankings and industry recognition.
  • Coordinate and execute client events, sponsorships, and conference engagements.
  • Ensure brand consistency across BD, marketing, and communications efforts.
Client Development & Relationship Management
  • Drive key client programs and relationship initiatives in Riyadh.
  • Support partners in identifying and targeting high-potential business opportunities.
  • Manage client feedback processes to capture actionable insights and improve service delivery.
  • Collaborate with global and regional teams to enhance firm-wide client development strategies.
Best Practice & Internal Operations
  • Promote BD efficiency by implementing best practices and fostering cross-functional collaboration.
  • Utilize CRM platforms and business intelligence tools to refine client engagement strategies.
  • Ensure alignment with global BD policies and initiatives.

  • Proven project management skills with the ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Fluent verbal and written communication skills in both Arabic and English, with an eye for detail and a client-centric approach.
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders and supporting high-value client initiatives.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and knowledge of BD best practices.
  • Proactive, strategic, and commercially minded with a strong understanding of the Saudi market.
