Business Development Manager - Air Freight

Responsibilities
  1. Develop business strategies aligned with overall business goals, financial targets, and group policies.
  2. Draft business development plans, budgets, account management approaches, and regional account plans.
  3. Monitor revenue, profit, expenses, and coordinate market and customer growth and retention efforts.
  4. Initiate and promote new business development initiatives to increase DHL's exposure among targeted prospects.
  5. Lead sales teams to establish relationships with prospects.
  6. Conduct market and feasibility studies to assess potential.
  7. Research and develop marketing initiatives for new business opportunities.
  8. Explore opportunities with government authorities and relevant stakeholders.
  9. Identify, pursue, and secure profitable relationships with key customers.
  10. Develop leads, conduct pre-proposal visits, and assist with proposals.
  11. Negotiate to acquire new customers and support teams in challenging negotiations.
  12. Communicate sales insights and feedback with peers.
  13. Stay updated on industry trends and adapt business development plans accordingly.
  14. Enhance existing business development methods and resolve unstructured problems.
  15. Convince skeptical external parties and facilitate decision-making processes.
  16. Supervise and motivate the team to achieve goals, including work assignment and performance review.
  17. Support recruitment, motivation, development, and coaching of team members.
