Job Description
  • Consistently meet and exceed annual revenue targets through close collaboration with sales and operations teams to align efforts and drive results.
  • Formulate and implement effective pricing strategies based on thorough cost analysis and market intelligence, ensuring competitive and sustainable pricing models.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and capitalize on new business opportunities and strategic partnerships to drive growth and expand market presence.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of complex client proposals, tenders, RFPs, and service agreements, ensuring professional and timely submissions.
  • Lead and coordinate sales initiatives that align with organizational strategic objectives, driving performance and market penetration.
  • Maintain and update the sales pipeline and market intelligence reports, ensuring internal teams are equipped with accurate and timely information.
  • Serve as a dedicated customer advocate within SGS, ensuring clients derive maximum value from SGS products and services, and fostering long-term relationships.
  • Track and manage business development activities, ensuring the successful execution of projects using SGS systems, including CRM tools, to drive efficiency and accountability.
  • Actively participate in industry events and networking functions to broaden business opportunities, enhance industry knowledge, and build professional relationships.
  • Conduct face-to-face client meetings to build and nurture long-term relationships, fostering trust and collaboration.
  • Contribute to global and regional sales initiatives, including market research, marketing campaigns, and strategic projects.
  • Provide strategic guidance to the client services team, ensuring customer satisfaction and the successful delivery of services in line with client expectations.
  • Ensure adherence to all quality and safety protocols as outlined in the SGS management system, maintaining high standards of operational excellence.
  • Undertake other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the direct line manager, supporting the broader objectives of the team and organization.
Qualifications
  • National Diploma/Degree in a relevant field, or alternatively, a minimum of 10 years of proven experience within the sector or company. This experience, along with demonstrated knowledge, skills, and expertise, qualifies the candidate through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
  • At least 10 years of experience in the service industry related to Mining and Minerals, or within a major mining group or a closely related industry.
  • A demonstrated and proven track record of driving business growth and achieving revenue targets in the Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) industry, with a focus on delivering successful business development outcomes.
