The Business Development Manager Hydro+Met will be based out of Saudi Arabia/Hybrid and is expected to travel around 75% of the time.
In this role, you will work closely with critical stakeholders in government organizations and agencies to build relationships and influence key development projects. You will work with Channel Partners, System Integrators, end-users and internal stakeholders to position OTT HydroMet to win in Hydrology and Meteorology opportunities in the Water and Weather segments.
Your job will include identification of early-stage opportunities, relationship development with key customers and partners, and engagement with cross-functional teams and making a winning proposal. This position is responsible for driving sales for OTT HydroMet with existing and new Channel Partners and target Accounts across the Hydro and Met segments which results in incremental growth of revenue and profitability expectations while also developing and building reliable sales funnels.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue and growth targets
Achieve assigned financial objectives and KPI s through Monthly Forecast of Funnel additions, Bookings and revenue from the region , geographical expansion and share of wallet expansion.
Communicate the Company s vision and value proposition with our customers and vendors, enhancing the Company s brand.
Act as the custodian of our customer relationships, collaborating with other functions to ensure customer satisfaction.
Regularly assess channels & target Accounts, define their growth potential/targets and develop strategies to achieve growth targets from those accounts.
Conduct regular meetings with key account decision makers to drive sales from upselling and cross-selling.
Manage and measure Region performance using KPI s, identify gaps in performance, communicate and institute countermeasures achieve goals.
Evaluate the current sales activities to identify areas of strength and assess those activities that must be improved to meet the demands of current sales, as well as future aggressive growth.
Identify prospects, establish and maintain relationships with authorities, engineering firms and other accounts that influence the buying decisions of the customer in assigned territory.
Negotiate and actively support the execution of contracts, complex projects / service and customer-specific product development initiatives through various internal departments including Legal, Finance, R&D, Strategic Marketing, Sales, Service and Customer Support
Analyze competitors' activities, pricing strategies, and market positioning to identify competitive advantages and adjust sales approaches accordingly.
Lead and drive sales activities including customer site visits, telephone contacts, trade seminars and shows, product demonstrations/evaluations, customer seminars and channel management.
Interface with Government organizations and NGOs, working on development projects in the Hydro-Meteorological sector.
Influence key development projects across ministries, agencies and other stakeholders to build a preference for and include OTT HydroMet solutions.
The essential requirements of the job include:
An undergraduate degree is required, Bachelor of Science in Engineering preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive sales experience also in opening new markets and new customer acquisition.
Experience working with government agencies, ministries and NGOs on development projects
3+ years of sales experience with Channel Partner & Key Accounts in Hydro or Met business, including ability to communicate with people of various technical backgrounds.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English; with the ability to relate well to all levels of the organization.
Ability to travel as required.
