Job Description

The Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in driving growth and expanding the company’s market presence.

This individual will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities, building strong relationships with clients, and contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Track market trends, regulatory changes, and the competitive landscape to support informed business development decisions and strategic positioning.
  • Formulate business development strategies and go-to-market narratives, ensuring alignment with client needs and market priorities.
  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities across priority sectors where Ecoryx’s services and digital solutions can deliver measurable impact.
  • Establish and cultivate strong relationships with prospective clients, strategic partners, and relevant stakeholders to drive engagement and trust.
  • Develop and deliver customized proposals with commercially sound and competitive offerings, ensuring alignment with client objectives and internal margin targets.
  • Represent Ecoryx in client meetings, industry events, and public forums to enhance visibility, credibility, and ecosystem presence.
  • Manage the end-to-end sales cycle, including lead generation, qualification, proposal development, negotiation, contract closure, and client onboarding.
  • Coordinate closely with technical and delivery teams to ensure successful project initiation, clear expectation setting, and smooth execution.
  • Conduct post-delivery follow-ups to support invoicing, ensure client satisfaction, and identify opportunities for ongoing collaboration and account growth.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records, track key sales metrics, and generate periodic reports on business development performance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in sustainability, climate change, or environmental advisory roles.
  • Expertise in decarbonization, ESG, and sustainability, with a strong track record in consulting, advisory, or client-facing environments.
  • Proven commercial acumen and relationship-building skills, with the ability to identify opportunities and drive business growth.
  • Entrepreneurial and innovative mindset, with a proactive approach to solving problems, seizing opportunities, and shaping new service offerings.
  • Digital fluency, with experience embedding technology in solutions and contributing to digital transformation initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of sustainability trends and regulatory frameworks, both locally (Saudi / GCC) and internationally.
  • Fluency in English with excellent business communication skills; native Arabic proficiency is strongly preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership qualities, with a collaborative approach and motivation to support and grow teams.
  • Adaptive communication skills, with the ability to understand client needs and articulate tailored, value-driven solutions.
  • Excellent time management and presentation skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively and perform under pressure.
