About the Role

As a Business Development Manager, you will play a critical role in expanding the company's market presence and driving growth. You will be responsible for identifying and acquiring new clients, developing tailored warehousing and 3PL solutions, and ensuring that the company's offerings align with customer needs. Your role will involve market research, strategic lead generation, contract negotiations, and managing a sales pipeline. Additionally, you will oversee and mentor a Sales Representative, ensuring their professional growth and contribution to business objectives.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Identify and target potential clients within the Saudi Arabian market, focusing on the Jeddah region.
  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify business opportunities.
  • Develop a strong and realistic pipeline of new business.
  • Understand operational capabilities and align lead generation strategies accordingly.

2. Client Acquisition & Relationship Management

  • Build strong relationships with prospective clients through a consultative approach.
  • Develop tailored 3PL solutions addressing client needs and future growth projections.
  • Ensure smooth client onboarding, integrating key stakeholders such as Operations, Finance, and Customer Care.
  • Maintain long-term client relationships and proactively seek expansion opportunities.

3. Costing & Contract Closure

  • Develop accurate pricing proposals in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Negotiate contract terms and close deals while ensuring profitability.
  • Ensure proper handover of new clients to the Key Accounts and Customer Care teams.
  • Facilitate RFQ completion and ensure compliance with business requirements.
  • Track and manage sales pipeline, ensuring timely follow-ups and conversions.
  • Provide weekly reports and forecasts to senior management.
  • Analyse sales data and performance metrics for continuous improvement.

5. Business Development Strategy Execution

  • Drive the company's Business Development Strategy to meet growth targets.
  • Stay updated with market trends and evolving logistics needs in Saudi Arabia.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align business development activities with company goals.

6. Marketing & Brand Representation

  • Prepare and deliver high-quality presentations to potential clients.
  • Effectively communicate the company's value proposition to the market.

7. Training & People Management

  • Train and mentor the Sales Representative to achieve independent sales capabilities.
  • Develop a structured training plan and track milestones.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Economics, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in new business sales within Saudi Arabia, particularly in warehousing, transport, and 3PL solutions.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute business development strategies.
  • Experience in cost and profitability analysis for supply chain services.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
  • Fluent in English and Arabic.
