Job Summary:
Manager - Business Development oversees the operations of the Business Development Department. Responsible for driving sustainable financial growth of the organization through the materialization of new business opportunities and forging strong relationships with prospective and existing clients.
Job Responsibilities
Strategic Planning
- Understand the strategic objectives of the organization to prepare a business development plan aligned with the business strategy aimed at growth in business and revenue. Submit it to GM-Contracting BU for final review and approval.
- Present the business plan along with ROI analysis, risk analysis, budget, forecasted sales revenues, and potential benefits to the organization.
- Lead research into new and established markets to develop service strategies that meet market demands and are consistent with the company's strategy.
- Set goals for the team and develop strategies to meet those goals.
Business Development
- Monitor, review, and approve business development proposals, quotes, and presentations for prospective clients.
- Provide guidance to the team in managing the entire business development lifecycle—from lead generation and management, prospecting accounts, negotiating client pricing, to moving them through the sales cycle within target markets in KSA and international markets.
- Deliver powerful, persuasive presentations to clients that effectively demonstrate the value proposition of the organization’s footprint to generate better sales.
- Identify and explore avenues for partnerships with potential companies and suppliers for new business development. Plan and implement new target market initiatives.
- Possess strong knowledge of market trends, including client and competitor activity and industry innovation.
- Cater to other subsidiaries as per the agreed guidelines and policies.
Building Relationships
- Attend industry events and conferences to gather information on market trends and competitors, develop a network of contacts, maintain a substantial pipeline, and build effective relationships to generate new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with the legal team to prepare business development agreements with favorable terms that protect the organization’s interests.
- Maintain effective relationships with partners and ensure profitable business continuity.
Research & Recommendations
- Develop an effective research project management process to track progress and effectiveness of market research. Oversee and scrutinize primary and secondary research, including competitive analysis.
- Provide compelling recommendations to management based on research to maximize profits.
Team Management
- Manage all team members directly.
- Set clear directions for the team regarding responsibilities and motivate them to achieve objectives.
Educational Qualifications and Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Management or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
