Business Development Leader in Saudi Arabia

These include world-class licensed process technologies, differentiated advisory services, deep technical domain expertise, energy transition solutions, high-end design capabilities, and smart solutions to optimize planned and operating assets.

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Business Development for KBR STS in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success in the Saudi market, with a focus on licensing, engineering services, and similar specialties akin to KBR's STS business. The individual will be a strategic thinker and recognized in the industry, possessing deep insights into market dynamics, regulatory frameworks, and industry trends. They will be responsible for driving business growth, forging strategic partnerships, and exceeding revenue targets through innovative sales and marketing strategies. Exceptional leadership skills, a strong network of industry contacts, and a passion for driving results are essential for success in this role.

Key responsibilities include :

Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to :

Lead the strategic planning and execution of business development initiatives in Saudi Arabia, focusing on generating new revenue streams and expanding market share within the region. Utilize extensive knowledge and experience of the Saudi market dynamics, regulatory landscape, and industry trends to identify and capitalize on business opportunities. Forge and maintain strong relationships with key senior stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, and potential clients, to foster collaboration and drive business growth. Drive the development and implementation of tailored sales and marketing strategies to effectively position the company's products and services within the Saudi market, with a focus on licensing and engineering & digital services, in alignment with KBR's STS business model. Act as a subject matter expert in the field, leveraging a deep understanding of industry best practices and competitive intelligence to provide insights and guidance to the executive team. Closely work and mentor a high-performing team of sales and business development professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, excellence, and accountability. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility, build strategic partnerships, and identify potential business leads. Achieve and exceed revenue / Job Income targets and KPIs, demonstrating a track record of success in driving business growth and profitability in the Saudi Arabian market.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills :

  • An undergraduate degree in Accounting, Engineering, Business (or equivalent), required.
  • Twenty (20)+ years of experience that include ten (10)+ years of industry experience and ten (15) + years of experience in Business Development with experience in selling capital project solutions and engineering solutions.
  • Requires in-depth knowledge of the Refining, Petrochemical / Chemical, Energy Transition, and Process services industry and customer base in Middle East and Africa.
  • Lead the process from opportunity identification through proposal development, negotiation, preparation of internal approval documents, and contract signature.
  • Deliver a steady stream of opportunities (requisitions for proposal) for various phases of project delivery (pre-FEED, FEED, EPCM)
  • 50% travel required to meet regularly with customers.
  • Experience in preparing and presenting information to prospective Clients / Owners and executive management.
