The Business Development Executive will be a key contributor to the growth of our industrial services, shutdown, and turnaround business in Saudi Arabia. This role is responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities within the Kingdom, fostering strong client relationships, and contributing to the company's strategic expansion in the industrial sector. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated Saudi National with a deep understanding of the local industrial landscape and a proven track record in business development for complex industrial projects with SABIC, SAUDI ARAMCO & MA’ADEN .
Key Responsibilities:
Market Research & Analysis:
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify new business opportunities, emerging trends, and potential clients within the industrial services, shutdown, and turnaround sectors across various industries especially SABIC & MA’ADEN (Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power, Mining, Manufacturing, etc.) in Saudi Arabia.
- Analyze competitor activities, market share, and strategies to identify competitive advantages and areas for differentiation.
- Stay updated on relevant government regulations, industrial policies, and major capital projects in the Kingdom.
Lead Generation & Prospecting:
- Identify and qualify new leads through various channels including networking, industry events, conferences, client referrals, and proactive outreach.
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of potential projects and clients.
- Conduct initial client meetings to understand their needs, challenges, and project requirements related to industrial services, shutdowns, and turnarounds.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders at client organizations.
- Act as a primary point of contact for new and existing clients, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and fostering trust.
- Regularly engage with clients to identify future project needs and expansion opportunities.
Proposal Development & Presentation:
- Collaborate with technical, operations, and estimation teams to develop compelling and competitive proposals, bids, and presentations tailored to client requirements.
- Clearly articulate the company's value proposition, technical capabilities, and track record in delivering successful industrial services, shutdown, and turnaround projects.
- Deliver persuasive presentations to potential clients and senior management.
Negotiation & Contract Closure:
- Lead commercial negotiations with clients, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the company.
- Work towards closing new business deals and securing contracts for industrial services, shutdown, and turnaround projects.
- Ensure all contractual agreements are in line with company policies and legal requirements.
- Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support:
- Work closely with internal teams, including Operations, Engineering, Project Management, and Finance, to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction.
- Provide market insights and client feedback to inform service development and operational improvements.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, etc.), Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5-8 years of progressive experience in Business Development, Sales, or Key Account Management within the industrial services sector.
- Proven experience specifically with shutdown, turnaround, or major maintenance projects in industries such as Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Power Generation.
- Demonstrable track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong understanding of the Saudi Arabian industrial market, including key players, regulatory environment, and project lifecycles.
Skills & Competencies:
- Fluency in Arabic and English (written and spoken) is essential.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities.
- Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.
- Proactive and results-oriented with a strong drive for business growth.
- Ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships at all levels.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong understanding of contract terms and conditions.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Willingness to travel frequently within Saudi Arabia.
