We are offering an exciting opportunity for the position of Director Business Development in Saudi. Your role will be to lead assigned sales and accounts within the Technology, Automation and Energy (TAE) Sector, with a special focus on Technology.
What will your responsibilities be?
  • Lead DSC Business Development & Account Development strategy to deliver significant growth in Saudi Arabia
  • Develop a pro-active sales plan engaging with the Marketing team and participate in relevant seminars/ conferences
  • Build and leverage a strong network in Saudi Arabia to drive new business and support company growth objectives.
  • Lead the team that will manage RFQs in Saudi Arabia coordinating the different roles and assembling/leading a winning wolf pack
  • Close collaboration and active engagement with Chief Commercial Officer EMEA and the Sector Teams as well as other DHL sister divisions to drive further growth
  • Lead the implementation of the assigned sales strategies coming from EMEA, Global, Corporate
  • Main focus will be in TAE Sectors (Technology, Auto-Mobility, Engineering & Manufacturing, Energy, Chemicals)
  • Ensure that all business initiatives are compliant with local laws and regulations in Saudi Arabia, including any relevant licensing or reporting requirements.
  • Stay abreast of regulatory changes, market conditions, and economic indicators that may impact business strategy.
  • Provide regular reports to senior management and stakeholders detailing progress, challenges, and future action plans.
  • Manage and mentor a team of business development and sales professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Provide ongoing training, coaching, and development to ensure the team remains equipped with up-to-date market knowledge and skills.
What do we need from you?
  • Proven track record in Sales and Business Development in logistics, including warehousing & transport
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing strategies that drive revenue growth in the Saudi market or broader Gulf region.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage high-performing teams.
  • In-depth understanding of the local business environment, market dynamics, and regulatory framework in Saudi Arabia.
  • Excellent consultative selling skills and techniques (ACCELERATE Type)
  • Proven ability to manage and influence in a matrix management environment
  • Strong drive, resilience, and a proven track record in sales
  • Fluency in English both written and spoken on the business level
