An established industry player is seeking a skilled Busbar Mechanic to lead fabrication operations in a dynamic environment. This role involves coordinating and supervising the Busbar fabrication department, ensuring safety and quality standards are met while fabricating components for electrical control equipment. • Organizes, coordinates, and supervises employees and activities within the Busbar fabrication department to ensure an effective and efficient fabrication operation that meets safety, quality, and production standards
• To carry-out the bus bar fabrication & Assembly as per drawings.
• Demonstrate a mastery level of proficiency in executing workmanship in areas of fabricating Busbars to punching, bending, plating, forming objects for low to high voltage applications into enclosures, per drawing packages and instructions defined by the Engineering Department.
• The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure their work is as efficient and safe as possible.
Job Responsibilities:
• Receive, review and understand drawings from Production Supervisor, and report to Production Supervisor if any discrepancy noted.
• Plan the material ahead of time & request the same.
• Receive the materials from Store/Material controller with proper Transmittal.
• Properly store and separate bus bars according to size, thickness, or job number for ease during the Bus Assembly phase of projects.
• Do the Bus bar fabrication (Cutting, Drilling/punching, Bending, cleaning/Grinding etc.) according to drawing provided & work instructions within allocated time, if any difficulty / deviation same to be reported immediately to the Production Supervisor.
• Operate machines such as cutting, punching and bending machines to cut; punch and bend bus bars according to approved drawings.
• Avoid/Minimize the reworks & material wastage, if any, same to be reported to the Production Supervisor.
• Offer guidance and knowledge as a subject matter expert to others when working on complex projects or participating in cross-functional teams.
• Inspect product quality to ensure conformance to approved drawings.
• Interpret and apply advanced manufacturing knowledge and principles while reading specifications to make determinations on bussing parts, methods, sequencing, and advising various team members or departments of errors to technical drawings as a means of proactive quality measures.
• Inform the job status to Production Supervisor on daily basis.
• Identify products by suitable means.
• Clean work area, removing scraps, dust or other by-products from machine and surrounding areas.
• Follow all safety instructions, and maintain a safe, clean and well-organized work area by complying with safety procedures, rules, quality standards and best practices to perform tasks optimally.
• Follows all applicable procedures and work instructions.
• Maintain operational excellence by completing necessary paperwork such as Engineering Corrective Reports, Non Conformance Reports, Corrective Action Reports, and Material Transfer Requests.

Desired Candidate Profile
· 2 years trade certificate in Machining /Fitter / Mechanical Technology and/or equivalent.
· 5 years of work experience fabricating copper bus, or similar materials, into electrical control equipment in a manufacturing facility.
· Mechanical Assembly Experience
Required Skills:
· Knowledge in Package Sub-station, LV Switchgear, LV Panel Boards and Distribution Boards.
· Knowledge of general shop tools (Bench Vice, Belt sander, pedestal grinder, drill press).
· Knowledge of Measurement tools (Tape Measure, Ruler, caliper).
· Ability to read and understand Bus bar fabrication and assembly drawings.
· Shall be industrious and adaptable to different job requirements.
· Ability to read and understand basic blueprints
· Can read measurements in decimal
· Understands conversion of fractional to decimal
· Good organizational Skills
· Ability to understand and apply workplace safety procedures.
· Practical knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment required.
· Ability to lift 30 pounds.
· Ability to sit, stands, bend, reach, kneel, twist, pull, push, grip, and climb.
