Engie SA seeks a BMS Technician to safely operate building management and control systems in a data-center/critical-facility environment in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. You will monitor, maintain and optimize HVAC, electrical and life-safety systems, ensuring minimal downtime and reliable performance.

You will perform preventive maintenance, analyze system performance, and report findings with clear documentation.

Formación

• Diploma in electrical/electromechanical required.
• 5+ years hands-on experience with BMS and controls in data centers/critical facilities.
• Experience with data center/critical facilities operations preferred.
• Certificate from a recognized institution.
• Proficient in Word and Excel for reporting and documentation.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor, operate and maintain building systems via the BMS including fire/life safety, HVAC, electrical, cabling, lighting and digital systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance with minimal disruption to building services and supervise maintenance tasks.
• Communicate effectively with clients, project management and engineering staff.
• Participate in emergency response, incident handling and escalation per plan.
• Oversee contractor activities and ensure safe, compliant execution of tasks.

SUMMARY:

Responsible for safely, efficiently, and effectively operating machinery and systems in a cost-effective manner. The BMS Technician must ensure the highest level of professionalism, while meeting the client needs, and a commitment to achieving the goal of no downtime. Responsible for protecting and improving the value of the client assets and ensuring that building engineering systems continue to perform their intended function. Perform installation, repair, and maintenance of controls systems located in the interior and exterior of the building

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform monitoring, operation and maintenance of all building systems via the BMS System including: fire/life safety, mechanical (HVAC, plumbing, controls) electrical (lighting, UPS, PDU, generators, primary switchgear), cabling (data and Power), lighting and temperature controls systems, critical environments, digital systems (fire alarm).
• At the direction of supervisor, maintaining, monitoring and performing preventive maintenance and continuous operation of all building systems including fire/life safety, mechanical (HVAC, plumbing, controls), electrical (lighting, UPS, PDU, generators, primary switch gear), emergency backup systems and hot water systems. Monitors operation, adjusts and maintains refrigeration, chilled water, and air conditioning equipment, Record readings and adjust them where necessary to ensure proper operation of equipment. Requires the ability to analyze the operation of various systems, determine the cause of any problems/malfunctions and take corrective action as required.
• Maintain effective communication with all external and internal customers, including Clients, Property & Project management, and Engineering staff.
• Participate in emergency response and problem management. Respond to incidents and mitigate the damage and obtain information on the cause of the problem. Ensure that escalation is performed per the escalation plan.
• Perform preventive maintenance as needed. Specific duties include but are not limited to: performing preventive maintenance with a minimum disruption of building services, performing and/or delegating preventive maintenance tasks to the appropriately qualified maintenance staff member.
• Oversee the activities of contractors working within the building either as representatives of the building itself or tenants operating within the buildings.
• Performs additional job duties as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education / Certification / Knowledge:

• Diploma degree in an electrical/electromechanical discipline.

Experience:

• Must have hands-on experience in a data center/critical facility, including controls systems and mechanical and electrical systems
• Certificate has to be certified from recognized institutions.
• 5+ years related work experience, with BMS systems and controls.
• Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel.
