Job description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintenance & Repairs

• Perform and supervisecivil/structural repairs(concrete, masonry, roofing, plumbing, and basic electrical).
• Conduct routine inspections to identify defects (cracks, leaks, corrosion) and prioritize repairs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to building infrastructure (walls, floors, doors, windows).
• Maintain records of maintenance activities using work order systems.

2. Team Supervision

• Lead and train maintenance technicians and janitorial staff.
• Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure timely completion of work orders.

3. Vendor & Contractor Coordination

• Liaise with external contractors for specialized repairs (HVAC, elevators, fire systems).
• Review quotes, supervise contractor work, and ensure quality compliance.

4. Safety & Compliance

• Ensure the facility adheres tocivil engineering standardsand safety regulations.
• Implement preventive maintenance schedules to extend building lifespan.
• Respond to emergencies (e.g., water leaks, power outages) promptly.

5. Budget & Inventory

• Assist in budget planning for maintenance projects.
• Manage inventory of tools, spare parts, and construction materials.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education:Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• Experience:5+ years inbuilding maintenance, with exposure to civil/structural repairs.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in concrete/masonry repairs, plumbing, and basic electrical work.
• Ability to read building blueprints and technical manuals.
• Soft Skills:Leadership, problem-solving, and communication (Arabic/English).
• Certifications (Preferred):OSHA, ISO, or facility management courses.
• Physical Ability:Lift heavy equipment, work at heights, and handle tools.
