Job description

JASARA PMC is looking for a talented Building Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design and development of building design, ensuring that they meet all technical, safety, and regulatory standards. You will work closely with architects, project managers, and other engineering disciplines to create innovative and sustainable building designs that align with project goals and client expectations.

Responsibilities

1. Responsible for design delivery for the discipline for all design stages (30%, 60%, 90%) for projects designed ‘in-house' in accordance with approved design guidelines and standards.
2. Coordinates and interfaces design activities (drawings and specifications) with other design disciplines as part of an integrated design team.
3. Manages the design-based activities for the discipline ‘outsourced' design packages, including design reviews and technical approvals as required whilst ensuring adherence to regulations and design guidelines.
4. Works collaboratively as part of the integrated project delivery team and reports into the project manager for activities that relate to the objectives of a project.
5. Ensure that building design learnings are shared and implemented across all projects.
6. Identify possible value engineering ideas to optimize costs/time and simplify delivery vis-à-vis building design.

Requirements
Education

1. Bachelors/ Masters/ PhD in Architecture or equivalent.

Experience

1. 5+ years experience managing Building Design projects.
