Job description

Amazon opened on the World Wide Web in July 1995 and today offers Earth’s biggest selection. Amazon strives to be Earth’s most customer-centric company, where customers can find and discover anything they might want to buy online. By giving customers more of what they want - low prices, vast selection, and convenience - Amazon.com continues to grow and evolve as a world-class e-commerce platform.

Amazon is looking for a Brand Specialist Team Lead to manage the Amazon Vendor Services (AVS) team in Saudi Arabia. AVS is a suite of services designed to help Amazon's most strategic vendors grow and deliver the best customer experience by working across key retail levers such as selection, availability, operational efficiency, catalog quality, and marketing. The service is primarily delivered through Brand Specialists assigned to specific vendors. Amazon aims to focus on business impact for vendors and categories, operational scalability, and vendor satisfaction.

As a Brand Specialist Team Lead for AVS, you will be responsible for delivering impact to a large group of strategic vendors through your team of Brand Specialists. Your priorities include improving vendor performance across key retail metrics, ensuring vendor satisfaction, and continuously enhancing team productivity. You will collaborate closely with Vendor Managers to understand vendor needs, define goals, and meet with Category Leaders for strategic guidance. You will also contribute to ongoing service improvements and innovations.

You should be passionate about managing and developing people, highly analytical, resourceful, and customer-focused. A proven track record of delivering results in fast-paced, dynamic environments while managing conflicting stakeholder needs is essential.

Key responsibilities as a Brand Specialist Team Leader for AVS:
  1. Partner with Vendor Managers and category functions to define priorities and operational goals based on vendor needs.
  2. Own relationships with key vendors subscribed to AVS.
  3. Define joint business plans and deliver impact to your vendors.
  4. Manage a team of Brand Specialists to execute these plans and achieve business impact.
  5. Regularly audit metrics to improve vendor and employee experience across categories.
  6. Drive adoption of tools and offshore processes to boost team productivity.
  7. Define necessary skills within the team to address specific vendor issues.
  8. Develop team members' skills and allocate resources effectively.
  9. Grow and develop talent for Amazon.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in account management, project or program management, or buying.
  • 2+ years in market research analysis, product management, or related roles.
  • 2+ years in roles such as quantitative/financial analysis, retail buying, planning & allocation, product/project management, pricing, marketing, or e-commerce.
  • Experience in cross-team collaboration.
  • Management experience.
  • 3+ years in roles like management consulting, investment banking, or brand management at a leading consumer goods company.
