An BMS Technician will support the Engineering Team to efficiently maintain all hotel operations, ensuring safety, security, conservation, and compliance at the highest levels.

What will I be doing?

As a BMS Technician, you will support the Engineering Team to ensure that engineering and maintenance operations within the hotel, including general property maintenance and energy conservation, are functioning properly and to standard. You will also be responsible for developing the Engineering Team and staying up-to-date with compliance regulations and procedures relevant to hotel standards. Specific tasks include:

• Participating in BMS projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery within budget and scope.
• Installing, programming, and troubleshooting BMS hardware and software components based on predefined points lists, wiring diagrams, and customer requirements.
• Commissioning and testing BMS software and devices on-site and remotely.
• Performing periodic preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of BMS installations.
• Designing, assembling, and testing control panels, ensuring correct wiring, operation, and safety compliance.
• Integrating BMS and REMS with IT infrastructure by configuring network settings and industry-standard communication protocols like BACnet/IP and Modbus TCP/IP.
• Keeping technical training and skills up-to-date.

An BMS Technician will support the Engineering Team to maintain hotel operations at the highest standards of safety, security, conservation, and compliance.

What are we looking for?

Hilton aims to have Engineers/Technicians who work on behalf of our Guests and collaborate with Team Members. To succeed in this role, candidates should demonstrate:

• Higher Diploma (MQF level 5) in Industrial Automation, Electronics, Controls, or equivalent.
• At least three years of experience in a similar field.
• Familiarity with BMS platforms (e.g., Honeywell, Siemens, Johnson Controls, Distech) and protocols like BACnet.
• Good ICT skills, comfortable with applications such as MS Office.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams for control panels.
• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal; fluency in Maltese is a plus.
