Job summary

A leading company seeks an experienced BMC Remedy implementation specialist to customize and upgrade their Remedy systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong troubleshooting skills, be well-versed in integration and customization, and have thorough knowledge of BMC Remedy architecture. This role requires the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines, ensuring optimal performance and functionality of the Remedy applications.

Qualifications

• Must have customization experience in ARS v9.x and later.
• Experience in design and implementation of BMC ITSM solutions.
• Must be able to troubleshoot application logs and provide solutions.

Responsibilities

• Deploy application changes or upgrades as required.
• Investigate and implement application customization.
• Maintain the Remedy server for patches and upgrades.

Skills

Customization experience in ARS v9.x and later

Hands-on implementation of BMC Remedy

Knowledge of Remedy adapters

Integration of Remedy using APIs

Ability to analyze customized enhancements

Strong knowledge of relational databases

Hands-on knowledge in Linux commands

Job description

• Must have
  customization experience in ARS v9.x and later.
  
• Should have
  Hands-on implementation experience on ARS 9.1 - 20.x, BMC Remedy Helix , Atrium
  CMDB , ITSM, SRM, SLA, Smart IT, DWP, Email Engine
  
• Deploying
  application changes or upgrades as and when required
  
• Expertise
  Investigating and implementing application customization.
  
• Good
  knowledge of Remedy adapters & experience in integration of Remedy with
  other applications using Web services, Rest API, AIE
  
• Ability to
  analyse, approve and test customized Remedy enhancement modules.
  
• Experience
  in design and implementation of BMC ITSM solutions for complex setup
  
• Should have
  good understanding of BMC Remedy architecture and its components.
  
• Must be
  able to install and configure BMC Remedy v9.x and recent experience of
  upgrading AR Server to 18.x, 20x, 21x in a clustered high available environment
  
• Strong
  execution in terms of backup/restores process
  
• Expertise
  in implementing BMC Remedy Change Management, Incident Management, Problem
  Management etc.
  
• Expertise
  in deploying BMC Remedy Asset Management
  
• Knowledge
  of BMC Remedy Service Level Agreements
  
• Used Remedy
  Migrator, Developer Studio, or other data integration tools to migrate remedy
  objects/data and data across environments.
  
• Hands-on
  expertise with upgrading Remedy AR Server and Remedy Mid-Tier server with the
  latest patches.
  
• Maintain
  the Remedy server for patches and upgrades etc.
  
• Expert in
  designing and setting up exception handling and performance tuning of jobs.
  
• Good
  understanding on Common Data Model of BMC Atrium CMDB
  
• Must have
  Experience in CMDB
  
• Experience
  in building Telco CMDB
  
• Expertise
  in java scripts, Unix shell scripts to support custom functions or steps.
  
• Must be
  able to troubleshoot application logs (SQL, API, Filter, Active Links etc.) and
  provide solutions.
  
• Strong
  familiarity with supporting Remedy applications including Oracle, Web Services
  XML and Remedy API.
  
• Expert in
  designing and setting up exception handling, performance tuning &
  archiving.
  
• Must have
  strong knowledge of relational databases (Oracle), PL/SQL, DB Links, Views etc.
  
• Must have
  hands-on knowledge in Remedy Installation and configuration in a server group
  environment.
  
• Must have
  hands-on knowledge with Linux commands (shell scripts etc.)
  
• Must have
  hands-on experience with SSO, RSSO and LDAP Plugins for Remedy.
  
• Ability to
  work under tight timelines and project milestones.
