Job summary

Fakeeh Care Group in Riyadh region is seeking a Biomedical Engineer to ensure safe, efficient operation of biomedical equipment through maintenance, repairs, and training in line with accreditation standards and regulations.

The role requires 5+ years of service experience, a Bachelor in Electronics or Biomedical Engineering, and a valid license. English proficiency is essential, Arabic preferred. On-site work with the Biomedical Engineering Department.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in service and maintenance activities of medical equipment in his domain of specialty in either hospital or medical equipment services provider company.
• Bachelor degree of Electronics or Biomedical Engineering.
• Hold a valid license to practice as a Biomedical Engineer issued by the relevant regulatory authority.
• Excellent command of English and preferably Arabic.

Responsibilities

• Ensures the operating condition of medical equipment and reports urgent issues to the Biomedical Engineering Unit Manager.
• Works independently or with the BME team to minimize downtime of medical equipment.
• Suggests necessary tools, test equipment and service materials for equipment in their domain.
• Performs and supervises corrective maintenance and ensures completion with signed reports.
• Performs and supervises scheduled PPMs per manufacturer checklist and documents results.
• Oversees installation and dismantling activities with required permits and documentation.
• Controls work orders and distributes daily requests to Biomedical Technicians.
• Assists Supply Chain in evaluating spare parts offers.
• Ensures environmental and technical specs for equipment at site.
• Reports monthly on status of the PPM plan and emergency responses.
• Responds to urgent incidents in coordination with management.
• Orders missing equipment and catalogs and keeps organized.
• Coordinates training for facility users and supervises workshop activities.

To ensure the safe and efficient operation of biomedical equipment by performing maintenance, repairs, and providing training on its proper use, in compliance with national and international healthcare accreditation standards and applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities And Duties

• Assures the working conditions of Fakeeh Health Care facility medical equipment’s in his / her domain of specialties and reports to Biomedical Engineering Unit Manager on any urgent stage related to Biomedical Equipment.


• Works independently and/or collaboratively with other BME Department members according to the job requirement, to minimize the down time of the medical equipment in his domain of specialties.


• Suggests to Biomedical Engineering Manager / Director the necessary tools, test equipment as well as service materials required for the medical equipment in his domain of specialties.


• Performs and/or supervises corrective jobs for medical equipment whenever is needed and confirm completion of this task by signed service report from end-user and debrief action taken on the system


• Performs and/or supervises scheduled PPM’s per manufacturer checklist and confirm completion of this task by signed service report from end-user and debrief action taken on the system


• Performs and/or supervises medical equipment installation and dismantling activities after getting necessary permits from the Medical Equipment Department Head this includes complete needed documentation for new acceptance & scrap process.


• Controls the work and follow-up the daily request to be distributed to Biomedical Technician and follow-up the action taken for each job order.


• Assists Supply Chain Department in evaluating the medical equipment spare parts offers.


• Assures the environmental and technical specifications fulfillment of the new and existing medical equipment in site.


• Reports to the Biomedical Engineering Manager / Director in monthly basis including execution status of the PPM Plan for medical equipment.


• Responds to urgent incidents and perform immediate actions in coordination with Biomedical Engineering Manager / Director.


• Orders missing equipment / spare parts and product catalogues for medical equipment in his domain of specialties and assures keeping them organized.


• Controlling the training needed for Fakeeh Health Care facility users and do the necessary training of needed.


• Always Observes and supervises the Biomedical Workshop activities.
