BIM Project Coordinator

1. Coordinate BIM project

• Determine the project BIM geo-reference point(s) and ensure all technical discipline models are properly referenced.
• Coordinate equipment deployment, including conveyors, CCTV, power supply, data points, fire services interfacing, etc.
• Coordinate with suppliers to receive compatible 3D models.
• Coordinate BIM file exchange and archiving of milestone submittals.
• Identify changes in incoming models from external parties.
• Attend BIM progress and coordination meetings.
• Coordinate the use of a shared file server / CDE.
• Serve as Vanderlande's customer-facing spokesperson for BIM topics during sales phases and contract negotiations, supporting the Sales Engineer.

Checking data and BIM data

• Ensure the quality of all BIM-related documents through proper review.
• Contribute to keeping BEP and EIR up to date.
• Ensure proper BIM-derived 2D information for printing conforms to CAD standards.
• Provide information at milestone submittals and for contractors.
• Manage the Revit project template and provide feedback on business templates.
• Possess IFC knowledge and define data exchange formats (DWG, IFC).
• Carry out clash detection and assist engineers.
• Perform clash and model coordination.
• Support the creation of clash reports and communicate clashes.

Managing and guiding BIM colleagues

• Act as Revit expert and project consultant for layout engineers and BIM modelers.

Building the BIM model together

• Upload and download BIM documents.
• Assemble composite design models for coordination meetings.
• Provide design deliverables according to specified formats (PXP).
• Maintain BIM models during installation and as-built phases, including delivering point clouds if necessary.

Set up tools, accounts, content, and permissions for the team

• Ensure interoperability of different software used in project implementation.
• Coordinate team file management and setup of shared file servers.
• Interface with design team BIM and IT managers to ensure proper software installation and operation.
• Determine project BIM geo-reference points and ensure models are properly referenced.
