BIM Aluminium Designer

Job description: Job Purpose

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the Technical and Engineering Department, ensuring that all aspects are organized, coordinated, and completed in a timely manner. This position requires a strong understanding of Windows & Doors, Structural Glazing Systems, Conventional Curtain Wall Systems, Aluminium Wall Cladding Systems, and Louvers, as well as excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Accountability Areas

• Preparing shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and cutting lists.
• Preparing material take-off work orders.
• Preparing as-built drawings.
• Designing and detailing facades, curtain walls, and windows for buildings.
• Handling software for curtain walls, doors, and windows, commonly used for cutting lists, optimization, and material take-offs.
• Familiarity with international and local systems for aluminium facades, windows, and doors.
• Evaluating and implementing process improvements.

Role Accountability

• Proficiency in 2D and 3D AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in Revit software.
• Proven experience in a similar role.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Academic Qualifications

Diploma or Degree in Design.

Work Experience

2 to 5 years.
