Position Overview:

Hill International is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Billing Specialist to join our team. The Billing Specialist will be responsible for managing the billing process for our clients and ensuring accurate and timely invoicing.

General Description of Role and Responsibilities:

  1. Review and verify accuracy of project billing information
  2. Prepare and submit invoices in a timely manner
  3. Monitor and track payment status of invoices
  4. Resolve any billing discrepancies or issues with clients
  5. Maintain accurate records of all billing activities
  6. Work closely with project management team to ensure timely and accurate billing
  7. Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
  8. Prepare and analyze billing reports for management
  9. Stay current with industry billing practices and regulations
  10. Provide excellent customer service to clients regarding billing inquiries
  11. Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  1. Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or any related field.
  2. 1+ years of experience in billing or accounts receivable
  3. Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  4. Excellent time management and organizational skills
  5. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
  6. Ability to handle multiple tasks.
  7. Knowledge of construction billing practices is a plus
  8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  9. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
