Job description

To support and be directly involved in the business by overseeing multiple concept beverage programs, including sourcing products, planning and organizing beverage system setups (such as storage and display options), directing and supervising employees working with beverages, and evaluating the overall system effectiveness (drink selections, pricing, customer response). Responsible for hiring and training new beverage staff members and overseeing beverage ordering and inventory control.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

OPERATION:

  1. Create beverage programs to ensure up-to-date trends across all categories.
  2. Design attractive and creative menus and continuously improve offerings.
  3. Manage front and back of house for all beverage aspects.
  4. Stay informed of the latest category trends.
  5. Manage business aspects of the bar, including inventory, reordering supplies, managing budgets, and setting goals.
  6. Create effective schedules and resolve conflicts promptly to ensure proper staffing during peak hours.
  7. Set and enforce quality and safety controls.
  8. Ensure licenses are current and compliant with legislation.
  9. Work effectively with diverse personalities among staff and patrons.
  10. Plan and participate in promotional events.
  11. Maintain a standard atmosphere for guests.
  12. Observe company rules and procedures and carry out reasonable requests from managers or supervisors.
  13. Perform weekly maintenance and report needs as they arise.

ADMINISTRATION:

  1. Keep SOPs, manuals, and recipes up to date.
  2. Ensure all legal requirements are met and communicated to team members.

COMMUNICATION:

  1. Attend and lead daily management briefings, sharing relevant information.
  2. Participate in weekly management meetings, providing essential updates.
  3. Ensure efficient interdepartmental communication.
  4. Attend daily team briefings.
  5. Communicate transparently and proactively using communication tools.
  6. Provide daily and weekly reports to management.

FINANCE:

  1. Administer and achieve financial reports.
  2. Adhere to operational budgets and take corrective actions if needed.
  3. Monitor expenses and respect approval processes.
  4. Control and manage inventory and stock levels.
  5. Ensure the accuracy of cashiering reports.

GUEST RELATION:

  1. Understand and anticipate guest needs.
  2. Handle complaints courteously and effectively.
  3. Seek solutions to meet guest expectations.
  4. Build genuine interest and confidence with guests.
  5. Recognize and approach all regular guests.
  6. Ensure a warm welcome to first-time guests to encourage repeat visits.
  7. Collaborate proactively with all departments.

HR & TRAINING:

  1. Provide accurate operational staffing forecasts.
  2. Continuously seek professional development.
  3. Hire and train staff to deliver excellent guest service.
  4. Support recruitment of new talents.
  5. Monitor team performance.
  6. Create weekly rotas, vacation plans, and succession plans.
  7. Generate training reports with attendance and topics covered.
  8. Communicate sensitive issues appropriately.
  9. Mentor new team members.

MARKETING & DEVELOPMENT:

  1. Implement marketing strategies to improve business performance.
  2. Monitor industry trends.
  3. Innovate based on market trends to increase footfall.
  4. Establish benchmarks against competitors.
