Job Description
- Supervise bell attendants and valet parking, ensuring adherence to hotel standards and procedures.
- Maintain high levels of cleanliness and vehicle maintenance.
- Ensure attentive service from bell attendants to guests during check-in/check-out and in lobby areas.
- Handle luggage movements and provide buggy services as requested by guests.
- Ensure vehicle and passenger safety by complying with road regulations and security procedures.
- Inspect vehicles regularly to ensure they are in perfect working condition.
- Schedule vehicle servicing based on distance traveled or as needed.
- Monitor vehicle log books diligently.
- Maintain appropriate stock levels for limousine and valet parking services and prepare requisitions.
- Supervise drivers and valets to ensure proper coverage.
- Manage outsourced valet staff, ensuring hotel standards are maintained.
- Conduct daily briefings with drivers and valet team to review tasks and activities.
- Update arrival/departure lists and schedule transportation and airport services accordingly.
- Ensure smooth handovers between shifts.
- Assign tasks, assist operations, and suggest improvements for any dysfunctions.
- Control hotel and car keys handling securely.
- Implement and check daily checklists.
- Assist AFOM and FOM in preparing forecasts and reports.
- Adhere to schedules, deadlines, and terms with management.
- Review and sign driver/valet logbooks daily and update activity reports.
- Ensure staff have valid driving licenses and are updated on traffic rules.
- Maintain proper telephone etiquette per Sofitel standards.
- Provide guests with a warm welcome and personalized service.
- Escort guests rather than just pointing directions.
- Respect guest privacy and confidentiality.
- Handle guest complaints professionally, resolving them satisfactorily and recording the incidents.
- Consult AFOM, FOM, NM, or DOR for serious issues or approvals.
- Be aware of VIP guests visiting or staying in the hotel.
- Ensure drivers are familiar with city roads and know how to use maps.
- Promote hotel outlet timings and internal activities among team members.
- Keep team updated on administrative, organizational, operational changes, and news.
- Share daily activity highlights with AFOM, NM, and FOM, including guest opportunities.
- Foster a high-morale, positive working environment.
- Keep the Front Office Manager and Assistant Front Office Manager informed about employee performance.
- Represent the drivers and hotel positively both inside and outside the workplace.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role at a 5-star hotel.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
