Job Description
- Prepare and serve beverage orders according to recipes and service standards.
- Be fully knowledgeable about all bar products and cocktail recipes.
- Upsell with each customer to maximize sales.
- Provide high-quality, personalized, efficient, and friendly service.
- Prepare mise en place and perform side duties.
- Collect all requisitions for food and beverages.
- Adhere to opening and closing procedures and check beverage stock.
- Understand all beverage items and prepare garnishes accordingly.
- Keep the bar area clean and organized at all times.
- Monitor supplies to reduce spoilage and wastage.
- Handle guest inquiries courteously and efficiently.
- Establish rapport with guests and maintain good customer relationships.
- Perform cashiering functions according to outlet procedures.
- Display premium liquors properly with defined quantities.
- Have garnishes ready for cocktails upon opening.
- Train new recruits through on-the-job training.
- Assist in training staff to ensure maximum efficiency.
- Conduct inventory of equipment periodically.
- Report punctually in proper uniform, maintaining personal hygiene and appearance.
- Provide courteous, professional service at all times.
- Maintain good relationships with colleagues and other departments.
- Follow hotel policies, safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
- Comply with local legislation.
- Adapt to departmental changes as needed.
- Perform additional duties within job capability, including redeployment if required.
- Attend training and meetings as scheduled.
Qualifications
Diploma or degree in vocational hospitality with 1-2 years experience in a 4-5 star hotel.
