Job description

Responsible for preparing beverages and serving them at the bar or through wait staff. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote guest satisfaction, ensure safety, and deliver a consistent high-quality experience according to standards. Build guest loyalty and gather feedback to enhance satisfaction.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

OPERATION:

  1. Mix beverages using a variety of ingredients including liquor, bitters, soda, water, sugar, and fruits.
  2. Take beverage orders from customers or wait staff and serve drinks with attention to detail.
  3. Satisfy guest requests promptly.
  4. Assess customer preferences and recommend drinks accordingly.
  5. Provide a friendly guest experience through interaction.
  6. Handle cash transactions accurately.
  7. Keep the bar stocked with beverages, ice, napkins, straws, glassware, and accessories.
  8. Clean the bar and work area regularly to maintain sanitation.
  9. Organize the bar to streamline drink preparation and manage inventory.
  10. Order beverages and supplies as needed.
  11. Prepare fruit garnishes for drinks.
  12. Follow company rules, procedures, and carry out reasonable requests from management.
  13. Observe health and safety procedures, report hazards or accidents.
  14. Attend training and team meetings, contributing actively.

ADMINISTRATION:

  1. Follow SOPs, manuals, and recipes consistently.
  2. Ensure compliance with food handling and sanitation standards.
  3. Maintain proper food temperatures and handling.
  4. Ensure all equipment is maintained and operational.
  5. Maintain grooming and hygiene standards.
  6. Ensure all staff hold necessary food handling certifications.

COMMUNICATION:

  1. Ensure effective communication within FOH/BOH.
  2. Attend daily briefings.
  3. Use communication tools effectively.
  4. Create a positive work environment through professional behavior.
  5. Assist team members with understanding needs, providing guidance and feedback.

FINANCE:

  1. Follow standard recipes for consistency.

GUEST RELATION:

  1. Recognize and build relationships with regular guests.
  2. Welcome and create recognition for new guests.

HR & TRAINING:

  1. Communicate sensitive issues appropriately.
  2. Mentor new team members.
  3. Attend training, seminars, and product demonstrations.
  4. Participate in industry competitions.

JOB ROLE SPECIFICATIONS:

  • 3-5 years in a similar role.
  • Experience in similar operations.
  • Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of food and beverage service.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions.
  • Problem-solving skills in standard situations.
  • Knowledge of POS software.
  • Health & Safety Certification Level 1.
