Job Description
- To prepare and serve beverage orders according to recipes and service standards.
- To be fully knowledgeable about all bar products and cocktail recipes.
- To upsell with each customer to enhance sales.
- To provide high-quality, personalized, efficient, and friendly service.
- To prepare mise en place and perform side duties.
- To collect all requisitions related to food and beverages.
- To adhere strictly to opening and closing procedures and check beverage stock.
- To understand and know all beverage items and prepare garnishes accordingly.
- To keep the bar counter and surrounding area clean and organized.
- To monitor supplies, reduce spoilage, and minimize wastage.
- To handle guest inquiries courteously and efficiently.
- To establish rapport with guests and maintain good customer relationships.
- To perform cashiering functions following outlet procedures.
- To ensure proper presentation of premium liquors on shelves with appropriate quantities.
- To prepare garnishes for cocktails in advance.
- To coach and train new recruits through on-the-job training.
- To perform duties in the Banqueting Department or other areas as assigned.
- To assist in training staff to ensure maximum efficiency.
- To participate in inventory checks of equipment periodically.
- To arrive punctually in uniform, maintaining high personal hygiene and appearance standards.
- To provide friendly, courteous, and professional service at all times.
- To foster good working relationships with colleagues and other departments.
- To understand and adhere to the hotel’s Employee Handbook, policies, and safety regulations.
- To comply with local legislation as required.
- To adapt to departmental changes and assist with additional duties as needed.
- To attend training and meetings as required.
Qualifications
Diploma or degree in vocational hospitality, with 1-2 years of experience in a 4-5 star hotel.
