Job description

Hotel: Amaala (RSIAM), Amaala, northwestern coast of the Red Sea

As Bar & Beverage Manager, I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation of the Food & Beverage department to provide exceptional products and services within brand operating standards.

The duties and responsibilities will include:

  1. Manage all aspects of beverage outlet(s) on a daily basis and coordinate special events.
  2. Achieve budgeted revenues, control expenses and labor costs, and maximize profitability within all areas of the beverage outlet(s).
  3. Assist in the preparation of the annual operating budget to support the overall objectives of the beverage outlet(s).
  4. Maintain procedures to ensure the security and proper storage of restaurant inventory and equipment, as well as the security of monies, credit, and financial transactions.
  5. Establish purchasing practices that meet the requirements of the Six Senses nutrition and sustainability platforms.
  6. Instill a cost-focused philosophy through training and education.
  7. Operate the outlets consistent with all legal, statutory, and financial requirements; ensure documentation, reporting systems, contractual obligations, security and safety protocols, communication, product and service standards, host management practices, and budgetary controls are implemented, reviewed, and maintained to ensure successful hotel operation. Ensure all guests are greeted courteously and attentively.
  8. Know the preparation, ingredients, and presentation of all drinks offered in menus.
  9. Know all outlet menus (food and wine) and F&B day-to-day activities.

Qualifications

To succeed as a Bar & Beverage Manager, the candidate should have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent and 1-3 years’ experience in a similar setting. A hospitality diploma/degree from a recognized hospitality school is preferred.
  • Experience in cocktail-making and beverage service.
  • Valid health/food handler card as required by local or state regulations.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are preferred.
