Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Banquet Supervisor to join our team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. As a Banquet Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of banquet events while maintaining high standards of service and guest satisfaction.

  • Oversee and coordinate all aspects of banquet operations, including setup, service, and breakdown of events
  • Lead, train, and motivate the banquet staff to deliver exceptional customer service
  • Collaborate with kitchen and event teams to ensure seamless coordination of banquet activities
  • Conduct pre-event meetings with clients and event coordinators to review details and address special requests
  • Manage inventory control of banquet supplies and equipment, assisting with ordering and restocking as needed
  • Monitor service quality during events and provide ongoing feedback and support to staff
  • Handle guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as hotel and brand standards
  • Maintain accurate records of event logistics, including guest counts, setup requirements, and special requests
  • Assist with billing and event settlement at the conclusion of events
  • Collaborate with management to develop and implement strategies for improving efficiency and guest satisfaction

Qualifications

  • Proven supervisory experience in banquet operations or a similar hospitality role
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on customer service
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and capacity to remain calm under pressure
  • Superior time management and organizational skills
  • Flexibility to work across various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • In-depth knowledge of banquet operations and event management
  • Thorough understanding of food and beverage service standards
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations in the hospitality industry
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of local customs and etiquette in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia (preferred)
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
