Job description

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Banquet Supervisor to join our team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. As a Banquet Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of banquet events while maintaining high standards of service and guest satisfaction.

  1. Oversee and coordinate all aspects of banquet operations, including setup, service, and breakdown of events.
  2. Lead, train, and motivate the banquet staff to deliver exceptional customer service.
  3. Collaborate with kitchen and event teams to ensure seamless coordination of banquet activities.
  4. Conduct pre-event meetings with clients and event coordinators to review details and address special requests.
  5. Manage inventory control of banquet supplies and equipment, assisting with ordering and restocking as needed.
  6. Monitor service quality during events and provide ongoing feedback and support to staff.
  7. Handle guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
  8. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as hotel and brand standards.
  9. Maintain accurate records of event logistics, including guest counts, setup requirements, and special requests.
  10. Assist with billing and event settlement at the conclusion of events.
  11. Collaborate with management to develop and implement strategies for improving efficiency and guest satisfaction.
Qualifications
  • Proven supervisory experience in banquet operations or a similar hospitality role.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on customer service.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and capacity to remain calm under pressure.
  • Superior time management and organizational skills.
  • Flexibility to work across various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations in the hospitality industry.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of local customs and etiquette in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia (preferred).
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
