Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Banquet/Catering & Event Manager to join our team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of banquet and catering operations, ensuring exceptional service and memorable experiences for our guests.

  1. Plan, coordinate, and execute a wide range of events, including weddings, corporate functions, and social gatherings.
  2. Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring profitability while meeting client expectations.
  3. Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and create customized event proposals.
  4. Design and implement innovative menu concepts in partnership with the culinary team.
  5. Supervise and train banquet and catering staff to maintain high standards of service.
  6. Oversee event setup, execution, and breakdown, ensuring smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
  7. Manage inventory, equipment, and supplies for banquet and catering operations.
  8. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company policies.
  9. Handle client inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a professional and timely manner.
  10. Analyze event performance and implement improvements to enhance overall operations.
  11. Stay current with industry trends and incorporate new ideas into event offerings.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, or related field.
  2. 3-5 years of experience in banquet/catering management or similar role.
  3. Proven track record in event planning and execution.
  4. Strong leadership and staff management skills.
  5. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  6. Proficiency in budget management and financial reporting.
  7. Expertise in menu planning and food and beverage trends.
  8. Advanced problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  9. Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
  10. Proficient in MS Office and event management software.
  11. Food Safety Certification.
  12. Knowledge of Saudi Arabian customs and traditions.
  13. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  14. Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are highly desirable.
