Job description

Position Overview:

The Audio-Visual Pre-Sales Engineer is responsible for supporting sales teams by designing, specifying, and proposing technical AV solutions for clients. This role involves collaborating with customers, sales representatives, and project teams to ensure that proposed systems meet client needs while adhering to industry standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Solution Design & Proposal Development
  2. Work closely with sales teams to understand customer requirements and business objectives.
  3. Design and specify AV / ELV systems (e.g., video conferencing, digital signage, control systems, audio systems, PA, GRMS, Master Clock, unified communications, etc.).
  4. Create detailed technical proposals, including system diagrams, equipment lists, and commercial proposals.
  5. Ensure solutions comply with industry standards and project specifications.

Technical Consultation & Client Engagement

  1. Act as a technical advisor to clients, explaining complex AV concepts in simple terms.
  2. Conduct meetings and workshops with clients to assess infrastructure and integration requirements.

Vendor & Partner Coordination and Knowledge Acquisition

  1. Liaise with manufacturers and vendors to stay updated on new technologies and product offerings.
  2. Evaluate and recommend AV equipment based on performance, cost, and compatibility.
  3. Prepare technical documentation, including scope of work (SOW), functional descriptions, and operational guidelines.
  4. Ensure designs align with security, IT, and network policies.

Continuous Learning & Industry Awareness

  1. Obtain and maintain relevant certifications (e.g., CTS, Crestron DMC-E, Extron AV Associate, etc.).

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or diploma in Audio-Visual Technology, Engineering, Electronics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: Open to both freshers and experienced candidates.
  • Strong knowledge of AV protocols (Dante, AV over IP, HDBaseT, SIP, H.323, etc.) is preferred.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings, site surveys, training, and industry events, including travel to Saudi Arabia upon request.
