Project Operations Manager

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the execution of medium-size projects, typically valued between $3–5 million USD annually. You will ensure all activities align with ABB policies, contractual obligations, quality standards, and health, safety, and environmental requirements. You will apply industry best practices and advanced project scheduling techniques to manage progress, mitigate risks, and meet financial and operational targets.

This role contributes to the Project Operations Manager in Egypt. Main stakeholders include internal project teams, external suppliers and subcontractors, customers, Supply Chain Management, and regulatory bodies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading the project team, assigning tasks, defining guidelines, and motivating resources to achieve milestones
• Monitoring project progress, ensuring resource efficiency and schedule adherence
• Overseeing financials, including invoicing, costs, expenses, and cash flow
• Managing project risks and seeking opportunities for improvement
• Ensuring compliance with ABB policies and best practices
• Providing performance feedback and guidance to project resources
• Sharing lessons learned to improve future projects
• Coordinating with Supply Chain Management for procurement and negotiations
• Acting as the primary contact for the customer and handling escalations
• Ensuring proper project close-out per contractual and safety policies

Qualifications:

• Experience with project management tools like SAP, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Project, and knowledge of the industrial engineering market
• 3–5 years of experience managing medium to large projects
• Knowledge of ABB certified APM (or similar), PMP certification is a plus
• Passion for leading teams, managing resources, and delivering projects on time and within budget
• Degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical Engineering
• Fluent in English; French is an advantage
• Eligible to work in the location with necessary permits
