The Project

This is an opportunity to work on one of the largest programmes in Saudi Arabia. This unique project consists of major mixed-use development including sports facilities, entertainment, and arts along with all associated infrastructure.

You'll Be Responsible For

Procurement strategy and planning

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the project's objectives and timelines.
• Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and assess market trends.
• Create procurement plans, including timelines, budgets, and risk management strategies.
  
  

Supplier management

• Identify, evaluate, and prequalify potential suppliers and subcontractors.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and ensure compliance with project standards and requirements.
  
  

Contract management

• Draft, review, and manage contracts, ensuring they align with legal and project requirements.
• Monitor contract performance and ensure compliance with terms and conditions.
• Resolve any disputes or issues that arise during the contract execution.
  
  

Procurement operations

• Oversee the entire procurement process from requisition to delivery.
• Ensure timely procurement of materials, equipment, and services to avoid project delays.
• Monitor and control procurement budgets and expenditures.
  
  

Compliance and process adherence

• Ensure strict adherence to company procurement processes and procedures.
• Maintain accurate and detailed procurement records and documentation.
• Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  
  

Risk management

• Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks.
• Develop contingency plans to address potential disruptions in the supply chain.
  
  

Team leadership and collaboration

• Supervise and mentor the procurement team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on procurement needs and schedules.
• Communicate procurement status and issues to senior management and other relevant parties.
  
  

You'll Need To Have

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, engineering, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in procurement, with at least 5 years in a senior role within the construction or infrastructure industry.
• Proven experience in managing procurement for large-scale projects.
• Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in procurement software and tools.
• Strong understanding of market dynamics and industry standards.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant certifications such as CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager) or CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) are required.
