Title and Summary

Associate Managing Consultant - Marketing Services

Within Mastercard, the Consulting Services team is responsible for acquiring, engaging, and retaining customers by managing fraud and risk, enhancing cybersecurity, and improving the digital payments experience. We provide value-added services leveraging expertise, data-driven insights, and execution. Our Advisors & Consulting Services team combines traditional management consulting with Mastercard's rich data assets, proprietary platforms, and technologies to provide clients with strategic insights and recommendations. We work with a diverse global customer base across industries, including banking, payments, retail, and restaurants. Our group has five specializations: Strategy & Transformation, Performance Analytics, Business Experimentation, Marketing, and Program Management.

Our Marketing consultants lead the development and implementation of marketing strategies and campaigns for clients. They utilize customer data to provide deep direct marketing expertise across channels, evaluate campaign results, and optimize marketing performance. Roles and Responsibilities
  1. Client Impact
    • Manage deliverable development and multiple workstreams across various industries and problem statements.
    • Contribute to marketing strategies and campaigns for large regional and global clients, working with technology and data.
    • Maintain working relationships with client managers, acting as a trusted partner.
  2. Team Collaboration & Culture
    • Develop sound business recommendations and deliver effective client presentations.
    • Plan, organize, and structure work, including that of junior consultants, to generate marketing strategies and insights.
    • Lead team and external meetings, co-lead or lead project management.
    • Collaborate with internal Mastercard stakeholders to build intellectual capital and develop solutions.
    • Grow from coaching to ownership of project management and mentor junior consultants.
Qualifications

Basic qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree with experience in marketing and campaign projects (digital, social media, customer experience, ad-tech, mar-tech, offline campaigns, media management, direct response marketing).
  • Experience managing tasks or workstreams collaboratively with third parties.
  • Experience managing clients or stakeholders and vendors.
  • Advanced skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Effective communication in English and local language (if applicable).
  • Eligibility to work and travel as required.

Preferred qualifications

  • Additional marketing experience in agency environments, SEO/SEM, video content creation, usability research, print production, supply chain management, data visualization tools, and solution development.
  • Experience managing workstreams with third parties and coaching junior staff.
  • Relevant industry expertise in product, sales, or marketing technology.
  • MBA or master’s in marketing or digital (a plus).
