Clinical Apps Support Sr Director - Job Description Summary
The Associate IT Clinical Applications Analyst is responsible for implementing and maintaining the organization’s Electronic Health Record (EHR) system and ancillary medical systems. The role requires a working knowledge of at least one relevant solution to optimize and meet the evolving needs of JHAH's medical processes.
Operational Roles & Responsibilities
- Implement, configure, maintain, support, monitor, and enhance the organization’s medical applications, including the EHR system and other medical solutions, to ensure they are fit-for-purpose, reliable, efficient, effective, secure, and achieve their intended benefits.
- Provide training and guidance to end users on the effective use and management of medical applications.
- Ensure compliance of medical applications with relevant best practices, regulatory requirements, enterprise architecture standards, governance programs, and cybersecurity policies.
- Manage engagements with contracted vendors for medical applications support, managed services, or professional services to ensure service delivery meets scope, time, cost, and quality targets.
- Investigate and resolve incidents related to medical applications following organizational policies and procedures.
- Fulfill medical applications-related service requests in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Evaluate and process IT demand requests involving medical applications, supporting their fulfillment in compliance with policies and the IT project management framework.
Minimum Education and Certifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a related field.
- Preferred certifications include:
- Certifications relevant to the EHR system and ancillary medical systems used at JHAH
- Certified Healthcare Technology Specialist (CHTS)
- Certified Associate in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CAHIMS)
- Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS)
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
Experience and Language Requirements
- No minimum years of experience required.
- English: Fully proficient; Arabic: Not required.
