Job description

The Associate General Counsel is expected to manage a wide range of legal matters and tasks, providing general advisory services to Qiddiya Park Operations LLC (QPO), a wholly owned subsidiary of Qiddiya Development Company, responsible for delivering the Six Flags Theme Park and Aquarabia Water Park projects.

The Associate General Counsel is expected to function as a ‘trusted advisor’ and should be able to effectively communicate and collaborate with all levels within QPO’s operational and management teams. The role requires strong negotiation and presentation skills, along with a sound understanding and experience in corporate and transactional matters. This individual will also be part of the larger QIC legal team and act as a liaison on commercial, legal, and risk matters affecting the broader Qiddiya project.

The role is generally advisory, suitable for a senior corporate and commercial lawyer with experience in infrastructure projects, the leisure sector, or the IT sector focusing on customer-facing products and systems. The candidate must be a credible and confident senior lawyer capable of promoting good business practices across teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and timely legal advice and responses to legal requests from other departments and subsidiaries.
• Support the development and implementation of the Legal Department’s strategy, legal framework, and processes to prevent regulatory and contractual infringements, and to protect QIC’s assets.
• Lead transactions and legal matters, including managing external legal counsel and reviewing their work.
• Manage claims and disputes involving QIC or its subsidiaries, with support from external legal counsel as needed.
