Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as theStrategic Alliances and Partnership Lead. In this role, you will report directly to the KSA Market Access and Strategic Alliances Director. You will be responsible for identifying key players within top strategic customers and external stakeholders, integrating customer insights into actionable strategic plans, and fostering sustainable engagements. Your expertise will be crucial in driving value creation and managing strategic alliances to enhance our business performance in the pharmaceutical sector.
Key Responsibilities
Identify Key Players: Recognize and engage with key stakeholders, external influencers, and decision-makers within top strategic customers. Integrate Insights: Utilize customer insights, priorities, and the broader business ecosystem to develop and implement strategic plans for key accounts, such as NUPCO, MOH, and MODA, fostering a mutually beneficial relationship. Engagement Planning: Create comprehensive engagement plans within customer organizations, gaining a deep understanding of their priorities, objectives, structure, and business ecosystem. Monitor Metrics: Track performance metrics according to the established plan and adjust operational activities as necessary. Lead Value Creation: Identify and anticipate opportunities for co-developing solutions that address unmet or evolving patient and customer needs, coordinating resources to achieve strategic goals. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various stakeholders to ensure that internal teams understand and effectively implement customer strategies to maximize outcomes. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all customer interactions and activities comply with local regulations, laws, and internal policies. P&L Management: Oversee the profit and loss for strategic accounts to enhance business performance and drive sales and profitability. Tender Management Support: Assist the Tender Management team by understanding the customer’s procurement processes, identifying key decision-makers, tracking competitive information, and communicating the value proposition to relevant stakeholders. Identify and Investigate Alliances: Research and identify potential third-party strategic alliance opportunities that align with organizational goals. Conduct thorough due diligence to evaluate potential partners' capabilities, resources, and reputations. Analyze and Evaluate Opportunities: Assess the potential benefits, risks, and opportunities of forming strategic alliances, providing strategic recommendations based on market trends and competitive analysis. Negotiate Terms: Lead negotiations to establish mutually beneficial agreements with alliance partners, ensuring alignment with the organization’s brand integrity and leveraging partner resources. Execute Partnership Terms: Collaborate with alliance partners to develop and implement partnership terms, ensuring alignment and commitment to shared objectives. Monitor progress and make necessary adjustments. Unified Solutions: Work closely with alliance partners to present cohesive solutions to clients, collaborating on joint marketing and sales efforts to maximize value. Communication and Coordination: Establish effective communication channels with alliance partners, ensuring regular updates and coordination of activities while resolving any issues that arise. Performance Monitoring: Track the performance of strategic alliances against agreed metrics and objectives, conducting periodic reviews to identify areas for improvement. Compliance and Documentation: Ensure adherence to all legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations related to strategic alliances, maintaining accurate records of agreements and communications.
Requirements
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Science is required.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred; a Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Total 7 to 8 years of Pharmaceutical experience with at least 3 years of experience in strategic account management, strategic alliances, business development, or partnership management within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry is preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry landscape, market dynamics, and trends.
  • Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills for identifying and evaluating potential alliance opportunities.
  • Proven negotiation and contract management abilities, with a focus on driving win-win solutions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated project management skills to coordinate and execute complex strategic initiatives.
  • Strong business acumen and financial analysis skills to assess the financial viability and impact of alliances.
  • Familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements related to strategic alliances in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proficiency in collaboration and productivity tools, along with advanced skills in office programs.
