Our dedicated Commercial Management Team at RLB KSA is responsible for overseeing projects from initial concept to completion. Their main task is to break down projects into stages, managing programme, cost, quality, and risk at each stage. Our Cost Managers work closely with clients, advising on financial matters, project risks, procurement, and contracts, leveraging our extensive experience to provide informed solutions.

RLB is recruiting an Associate Director - Commercial to join our client team remotely in Saudi Arabia. You will lead a flagship tourism giga-project, focusing on post-contract cost management services.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Drafting tender documents, agreements, and contract terms.
2. Reviewing and contributing to the selection and appointment of consultants/contractors during the tender process.
3. Reviewing contract documents prior to execution.
4. Managing all commercial aspects of the assigned program/asset, including cost reporting from design through construction, variations, claims, and forecasts.
5. Administering contracts, including correspondence, notices, claims, change management, and completion certificates.
6. Ensuring effective cost checking and evaluation across the team.
7. Managing cash flow forecasting.
8. Overseeing post-contract cost variances, change control, and evaluation of variations and claims.
9. Maintaining contract Change Log and Claims Log.
10. Producing and presenting monthly cost reports.
11. Assessing and advising on financial claims and settlements.
12. Participating in meetings and value engineering.
13. Negotiating final accounts post-completion.
14. Supporting team negotiations and dispute resolutions when needed.

Person Specification:

The ideal candidate will be proactive, committed to customer service excellence, and deliver strong commercial results.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• Experience in the marine sector (preferred).
• Membership of RICS, CIOB, CIArb, or relevant professional body (preferred).
• Minimum of 15 years relevant experience.
• Knowledge of measurement standards (SMM7, NRM, POM(I), CESMM).
• Knowledge of major contract forms (FIDIC, NEC, JCT).
• Strong English literacy and communication skills.
• Experience in large commercial teams and contractual frameworks.
