Your new role, what's involved?
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients in Saudi Arabia, building strong relationships and identifying new business opportunities.
- Lead business development in the bridges and tunnels market in KSA and support wider business development activities, including preparation of technical proposals and contributing to strategic planning.
- Provide technical leadership to the design team, ensuring compliance with local and international codes and standards.
- Lead the design management and technical delivery of complex bridge and tunnel infrastructure projects from concept to detailed design stages.
- Oversee project planning, resourcing, budgeting, and quality control across multiple projects.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including geotechnical, highway, railway, and MEP specialists.
- Mentor and develop junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
- Represent the consultancy in industry forums and client meetings, promoting technical excellence and thought leadership.
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master's degree is highly desirable.
- Chartered Engineer status (e.g., CEng, PE, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in the design of bridges and/or tunnels, including 5 years in a senior or leadership capacity.
- Minimum 10 years of experience working in KSA.
- Proven track record of business development, work winning and building strong client relationships.
- Proven track record of working within international engineering consultancies on large-scale infrastructure design projects.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant design software (e.g., Midas, RM Bridge, SOFiSTiK, LUSAS, PLAXIS, or similar).
- Strong understanding of local Saudi regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and client-facing skills.
