Job Summary:

The Associate Cost Engineer is responsible for managing project costs including cost monitoring, budget control, and forecasting project expenditures. This role ensures effective financial risk control and optimal resource allocation across project phases.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and control project costs to ensure adherence to approved budgets
  • Forecast expenditures and prepare regular cost reports
  • Prepare material lists and request vendor quotations
  • Support in defining and estimating scope change quantities
  • Analyze blueprints, specifications, and project documents to calculate material, labor, and equipment costs
  • Identify potential cost optimization opportunities
  • Develop and present monthly project updates related to cost and forecasted spending
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics, or Accounting
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in cost engineering or project cost control
